L225
There are 2 entries for L225:
Chaetostoma sp(l225)
This picture shown for Chaetostoma sp(l225): http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/im ... ge_id=3563
is the same shown as Dolichancistrus sp(l225): http://www.scotcat.com/loricariidae/dol ... L225_4.htm
Same species or different?

L225: Chaetostoma vs. Dolichancistrus
Hi,
..just realized that there are two "L225" in the eLog. The one (with pictures) is a Chaetostoma (), the other one () is a Dolichancistrus.
I would say that the Dolichancistrus is right, according to the pictures, the snout has a rim of odontodes, which would indicate Dolichancistrus.
Cheers, Sandor

Re: L225
Hi,
it should be Dolichancistrus, I´d say.
The "adult" picture shows the small odontodes along the rim of the snout which give it away.
Cheers, Sandor

Re: L225
Thanks Sandor - I just found another post on the same subject from you, so I merged that in as well [and fortunately, you agree with yourself!]
I'll see if I can fix this up, but if Jools would like to pipe in, I'd be happy.

Re: L225
Done, btw, does anyone fancy putting in the new L-numbers we're missing between L436 and L450?
