Update LDA Numbers
Any chance we can update the LDA numbers... I know there are a bunch of new ones. I bought some LDA 81's a while back and can't find much on them. It would be great to have some information here.

Re: Update LDA Numbers
Whilst I'm sure Jools can find the name and number of the fishes, it's often hard to find much else, and it doesn't really make much sense to have an entry for, say, LDA81, without any other information than the name and number of the fish. At least a picture of the fish would really help - since then, at least, anyone else with those fish will be able to see if that is the fish they have or not.
I have a feeling (from picture/data submissions I've made) that there is a tad of a backlog of new species additions, so adding new ones with no or little data is perhaps not the top priority. Jools had a baby just before christmas, so he's got a bit less time than usual for looking after Planet Catfish.
You can help here by e-mailing a picture of your LDA81 to webmaster at planetcatfish dot com, along with:

You can help here by e-mailing a picture of your LDA81 to webmaster at planetcatfish dot com, along with:
- the ID of the fish [LDA number and the (supposed) genus will be best] (otherwise, Jools will have to ID it himself, which is extra work, and that slows down the process).
- Your own name for the photo credits
- Your username (again, so Jools can connect your name and user-name without looking it up, speeds up the process).

Re: Update LDA Numbers
Where are these published?
The main problem with LDA numbers so far is that they were all photographed by Erwin Schraml and he is unwilling to provide photographs to planetcatfish.
If we can get some info on them, I'd be happy to add them.

Great!MatsP wrote:We now have LDA100+ in the Cat-eLog.
For them to appear in the LDA pages & be "complete" there needs to be common name submissions (one per species entry) of LDAxxx etc.

Re: Update LDA Numbers
Is there any that doesn't have that, then? I thought I did that when we did the major drive to add LDA numbers some months ago. I'll check, however.Jools wrote:Great!MatsP wrote:We now have LDA100+ in the Cat-eLog.

Edit: Can't see anything that is missing.

Re: Update LDA Numbers
Sorry, I misunderstood Mats' post, I though he was saying he'd added them. I understand now it was a comment that this was complete and he was helpfully moving the post out of traffic.
Cheers,
Jools
