After the opening weekend, I dropped in today. A good location for a store as it's in a kind of shopping centre and lots to do for those who visit fish store with other family members.

It was a bit smaller than I had imagined, a nice selection of fish. A bit more than your average Petsmart, but nothing really wild (except perhaps a medium fw stingray).

Was quite busy, so didn't want to bother the two staff. I can't remember ever going to a fish store and pretty much all the catfish were labelled correctly! Only four families of catfish on display (Corys, Plecos and Glass Cats, Pictus) but within that some nice fishes. Good to see lots of even though lots of also on sale. Excellent to not see any - really good thinking. Prices were good on the cats, I thought everything except the Rineloricaria/Leillia were good value indeed. Decent dry goods with lots of JBl stuff (which I personally like) but no Eheim. Nice range of other fw fishes, I'm not so good with marines but they looked more settled than the fw section.

A bit too many Rifts for me (why keep Rifts in Scotland's soft water?) and a few tanks looked a bit new, but they only opened at the weekend.

Some of the nicer cats seen:

spp. (Yup, two in there)
Young
or similar.
Captive bred

I very much suspect more to come once the systems bed in, and the location on the M8 is a winner for me. Anyone else been?
