Wintering my pleco

Post by jadzia007 »

hi there...I have a 10" regular old common pleco that I had in my pond all summer. I brought him in yesterday for the winter....and was wondering....what can I feed him and how often. He had plenty of algae in the pond....but nothing yet on the indoor tank. thanks

It can do without algae. You can try spinach, peas, cucumber, etc.
The diet requirements of a common pleco are identical to those of sailfin plecos, which are outlined here.
