Post by andywoolloo »

today when my luci's were out and about doing circuits i saw several plump females!!!

So I am happy to know i have some males and females. I tought i did but now i am sure.

If they have babies they are safe from the corys and the angelicus and chocolate zebra right? :o

I suspect both eggs and fry are potential food for, definitely, the [Synodontis?] angelicus and corys. The chocolate zebra is unlikely to eat fry, but probably will eat any eggs it can get to.

From what I understand, a cave with a base of marbles or larger size gravel (around 1/2"/12mm diameter/grain size) is the right way to catch the eggs and the hatch them separately.

Rock on! Good luck! Start soaking that zucchini (courgette) now to get it nice and soft and stinky for the fry. No, not really. This is a bit early, don't you think? Haha! However, after you have eggs that hatch and the fry use up their yolk sacs, it is something good to leave in the tank with the fry... gives them at least one more thing to nibble on.
