Ancistrus macrophtalmus = LDA74?

Post by MatsP »

According to a document from Ingo Siedel, LDA74 is A. macrophtalmus. We have both as separate species in the Cat-eLog... I think they need merging...

HI!!

Yes they are indeed the same species...that was the information I also had from Sonia and Raphael from the MHNG a few years back.
Cheers

Mats,

Can you "recycle" the spare species entry with one of the new species of that HH points out in the science forum?

Cheers,

Sure, I will add a new Auchenoglanis as part of this...

I did send Mike Retzer an e-mail to get the Auchenoglanis paper, but haven't had a reply yet.

Pictures moved. Common name moved.

There is no valuable data in LDA74 species page, but there are keepers that need moving.

Keepers moved. Note common name should be in upper case.

And it was until your code did a "Make first upper-case, remaining lower-case". I tried again, and it clearly lower-cases the "da" before adding it to the database...

I forgot that it's not possible to rename to another family, and Auchenoglanis isn't a Loricariidae... ;)

Let me know when you have moved it...

Edit: I now have the revision on Auchenoglanis, so will work on getting those in...
