cat-eLog L number problems?

Post by 2wheelsx2 »

I guess it's the addition of L numbers to the list that's gotten things screwed up? If you click on the L number list for L27a+, the list stops at L34, and then of course when you click the list for L40+, the list starts at L40, so there is a gap in L numbers when navigating the list. I'm not this is not the only place where this problem occurs, but it's the only one I have confirmed.

I noticed that too. Unfortunately, something that Jools will need to fix!

L037 Hypostomus sp.

Post by smitty »

Just wanted to know why this species is not shown. He is listed on many other sites and I have seen in several stores. I have seen him listed as L037 Hypostomus sp. Honeycomb Pleco, Tocantins Snake

I think what the complaint is, is that the L-numbers list doesn't show L36-L39 because the page with L27-.. stops at L35, then the next page starts at L40. This is due to the fact that the L-number list is somewhat broken.

It's been reported here:
http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... =3&t=30976

So if smitty can confirm that this is the problem reported, we can merge the two threads - as it's the same cause.

[I think it wouldn't be that hard to change the code behind the page that shows the L-numbers so that it's showing all species - but it will take a little bit of work].

MatsP that may very well be the problem. If you click on L 27a it will stop at 35. The next thing you can click on is L 40. So the L numbers actually skip 36 thru 39. Thanks as always for listening.

Would also just like to point out that you can use the quick find to get to an l-number page. Type, for example, L037, into the quick find box at the top right of the page.

I will fix this bug, but it's not right at the top of the list.
