What kind of gravel?
Hi
I've got a new tank but I can't decide what kind of gravel I want. I have a Panaque Maccus, 3 wood shrimps and 10 glowlight tetra's. I know sand is the best option for the Panaque but I don't like the colour of sand. I want black or dark brown for the bottom. Any suggestions witch is best for the Panaque and has a nice dark colour?
Thanks.
Gr. Esther

I don't know if it's available in the Netherlands, but Unipac in this country sells several natural looking types of sand that is darker than your average play-sand.

Wow, that's what I want. But it's not available in the Netherlands. I've searched for weeks know but I can't find this colour sand in Holland or online shops. I think if I ordered it from the UK it's a lot of money (if they send it at all to Holland).

I once went to a reptile exhibition, and all kinds of colors of sand - mostly from Australia - were offered there. Quite expensive, but available
Personally, I use ordenary sand. I got it from a road builder

I couldn't wait any more (I've got the tank for two months know and it's waiting to start
) and put fine black gravel in it (also suitable for corydoras).
