Over stocking?

Post by Svante »

Hi

Im just wondering if you think 4 peckoltias will work in a 60 liter tank ... (no idea what it is in gallons). The two that i have now are doing just fine together, although i should probably add alot more driftwood and caves to the tank if i nget two more.

Thx

What kind of Peckoltias are we talking about here? Sixty liters (about 15 gallons) isn't a lot of room.

It is probably a vittata, and the animals are not fully grown, otherwise i would not have that many in such a small aquarium.

Unless you are going to put at least some of the fish in a larger tank eventually, I don't think it's a good idea (at least not in the long term).
I presume you already have other fish in there besides the Peckoltias.

There are only the two peckoltias and an Inpaichtys kerri.
