New catfish in my tank - (pic to follow) - Glypto Burmanicus

Post by Richard B »

I picked up a Glyptothorax on Saturday & is in quarantine at the moment. (There was only one ~X( )

I tentatively think it might be - does anyone think this is a possibility? (I'm hoping HH will chip in). It is approx 85mm TL

When i find my little camera i'll get a pic as it is in a 16x8x8 at the moment so easy-ish to see

Sounds like a nice find. I've updated the distribution according to the CoF distribution. And I'm pretty sure that fish from that region does come into the trade from time to time - for example through Thailand (what's'is-name that talked about catfish and loaches on the CSG conference two years back).

I might be able to tell you what it is if you can provide me a photo of the thoracic adhesive apparatus.

I've got a couple (of probably poor quality pics ) on my old digital cam but can't find the lead for the PC :-O

The fish appears to missing a left eye but feeds well on all sorts of foods
