Hara longissima aquarium spawnings
Congratulations to Roy Blackburn of Castleford Aquarist Society who yesterday realised he has at least 2 spawnings of H. longissima. Short report and some (poor) photographs of mine to follow in the CSG Journal.

Re: Hara longissima aquarium spawnings
So few successful reports of Hara spawnings, well done to Roy. What's the latest count on youngsters?
Is this a first (H. longissima)?

Re: Hara longissima aquarium spawnings
There are at least 15 youngsters spotted so far I think.
I think Adrian (medaka) has spawned E. pusillus, jerdoni and minuscula. AFAIK this is a first for longissima.

Hi Richard
There are pics of the adults on my Scotcat images. (Poor) pics of the fry will be in the breeding report I'm writing for the CSG newsletter.
Yeah, well done Roy. He's chuffed!

Re: Hara longissima aquarium spawnings
HI Steve, yes I have spawned these. So far they are the only Erethstini they I have managed to spawn.I think Adrian (medaka) has spawned E. pusillus, jerdoni and minuscula.
I am trying to spawn C zonatus at the moment. but no joy so far. I do have these mothcats along with a couple of others.
But at the moment I am being over run with cory, blue neon medaka's and danio spawnings.
No growing on room left...

BTW Pass on my congratulations to Roy.

Hi
Good luck with the zonata, that would be great to see those spawned!
Oh well at least its a good problem to have, being overrun with fry!
I'll pass your congrats on to Roy
