Odd Leiarius longibarbis behaviour?

Post by JohnnyOscar »

I've just watched my 6" L. longibarbis gently nudging a 6" common pleco on the nose. He did this several times, casually swam around a bit, then came to rest with his nose touching the pleco's nose. No response from the pleco. He then lay motionless for a while, swam around a bit more, then repeated the whole thing. I watched this happen several times. He's still at it as I type.

What's going on?

I've just checked up on them again and the pleco is now lying on a piece of bogwood and the longibarbis is lying with its head on the pleco's tail. I wish I had a camera...
