Can anyone help me identify this Ancistrus ?
I saw him in a shop here and bought it.
I do not know where it came from.

Thanks in advance
Mike
No, not very often, but the Colombians do often act as transhippers for the overseas markets outside Europe, Japan, and the US. I saw this alot in Mexico and South Africa. These markets are so small that importers can't afford to order from numerous exporters in different countries, so they use transhippers. This is one possibility, but I also noted that the OP said,Shane, in your experience, do exporters in Colombia often sell "cheap" fish from Eastern Brazil?
-ShaneIf I'm not mistaken, the fish came in a shipment from Colombia, but I'm not sure.
If the fish was indeed collected in Colombia, this is certainly the better bet.It could be judging by the location a juvenil form of this fish: L148
