L66?

Post by mokmu »

I just want to know. What is this fish from this Japanese website?

http://www.geocities.co.jp/AnimalPark/1665/rkp.htm

I think that this fish is very beautiful. Everyone has practically said L66 and I mistakenly thought this was an L270. Why is the coloration this way?

A carotene-rich diet will usually do it.

Hi!

Yes it is an Hypancistrus sp L66 with a weird coloration. But I wouldn't pay more than they are worth , just because they look this way.
Like silurus said a food rich in carotene such as brine shrimp, gammarus, or special mix usually used for Discus could make that color.
Still it look good, nice specimen...
Cheers
