Suicidal corys
I am having issues with corys swimming into the lifter tubes of sponge filters and need suggestions on how to prevent this. The first was a panda before I moved; I found that one in time, but today I woke up to find 2 loxozonus dead in the quarantine tank's tube. For now I've taken the tubes off in all my tanks, but I would prefer to have them in. I'm thinking to somehow block the top, but I'm not sure what material to use.

Re: Suicidal corys
I take small pieces of rigid air line tubing and glue them to resemble the outlet tubes of many box filters which use them to clasp the air line. There are myriad techniques that you can employ to achieve the same result. Just look around your fish room.
