I agree with Mats, I've just spent 5 minutes watching 2 of my L-14's fighting over a favourite cave inside a piece of bogwood. It's amusing to watch them show their true size/colours and start then to vibrate as they size each other up, something that can't happen if you just have a solo plec. Thankfully this time the smaller one was cleaver enough to back down before the bigger one got p*ssed off and hurt him (I think they are both male

My 4 L-14's (approx 5-7" TL) are in a 400l community tank so they have to share food with a range of fish, but I mainly feed the tank a combination of the following
Sweet potato
Courgette/cucumber
Frozen king prawn tails and mussels
Novo tabs and Hikari algae wafers
General flake food
Frozen Bloodworm
Basically the L14s don't seem fussy and eat anything that floats past, including any left over flake food or bloodworm that the rainbows don't eat.
