Hello...I just purchased my first ever catfish and I have had aquariums off and on for over 20 years. I bought a P. Bufonis at a little over 6". His community is African's and he already ate one. :P I liked that poor doomed fish... :cry:

I could used some sound advice on feeding. I very much dislike the thought of introducing feeders to my tank. Is this cat common or not common?

They are not fussy eaters, and do well on a meat-rich diet. It should have no problem adjusting to a diet of shrimp/carnivore pellets. You might also want to think about feeding it fresher foods like earthworms (chopped or whole).
