Pictus and sand

Post by ticklemepunk4739 »

I am in the process of remodeling my substrate (all the better to grow plants in my dear!) and I was thinking of building a sandy playground for my catfish but I am not sure if they are the kind of cats who would enjoy is? I have 3 pictus and I think they are too active to want to lie in the sand all day. they really like to cruise around so is sand like a soft spot to lie in or more of a natural hiding place for some of the flatter catfish? If they would enjoy it I am going to get a terracotta plant plate thingy and fill it with sand for them. if this will be good for them someone just say the word!!!
90 gallon

2 gold severums
3 bronze coryadoras

My pim pictus seem to enjoy a sandy substrate. They make wonderful patterns in the sand with their tain fins.
