Otocinclus sp?

Post by philtre »

Hi All,

What's this little fella.... any one has any idea? Find that this fella's eyes are a little different from the rest of the otos. He seem to have a pretty sharp head shape too. Coloration is almost yellowish/ gold. looked at O.affinis but seems that O. affinis has more of black dusting on the body?
Any place where I can get to know more about Otocinclus, parotocinclus etc?
Appreciate any input.

Thanks very much in advance!

Cheers
phil

Any way you can take a more magnified picture of the whole fish?

Probably O. vestitus, but Otocinclus are difficult to identify to species without counting dermal plates or teeth.

Otocinclus vestitus is the nearest I can get. I also have a group of these that look ready breed.
