has any manged to keep theese corydoras to spawn?

Hi,
yes, I had a good dozen of spawns this year.
The eggs are quite small and numerous. Usually there are lots of eggs unfertilized (30-50%). It's therefore important to remove the unfertilized ones, otherwise there is a high risk that other eggs also catch fungus.
The fry takes brine shrimp nauplii right from the start and they grow very fast with this food (3 cm after 2 months). They are comparitively robust but a bit sensitive to stress. I had around 50 in a grow out tank, after having caught some out of the tank the remaining ones poisoned themselves which I noticed to late...

has been bred fairly regularly by a number of aquarists over the years.
I first bred then in 1980 and have detailed spawning details of this species, along with another 152 logged in my new book "Breeding Corydoradinae catfish" Second edition.

thank you for ur replys, i have no question about raising the fry, i normally puit them into ther own tank and do 5 to 7 water changes a day, i find this method very sucessful.
wonder how u manged to triger them to spawn? what was ur p.h, and hardness?

Hi,
as stated in the linked thread: 23 °C, pH 7.5, KH 2-3 ° (German unit); 2 or 3 water changes of about 10% with cold water within 4 days resulting in a temporary temp drop of about 1° C. Before I kept them at 26-27 °C.
As far as I remember I started 1-2 weeks before the first spawning with significantly increased feeding with deep frozen artemia and living grindal worms.
Once succesfully triggered they will spawn quite regularly.
