Need help ID with these 2 plecos

Post by victoriaz24 »

The first one looks like a LDA031 but the second one I still haven't been able to pinpoint it's id. I have asked before about it & now got some belly & mouth shots of it, as it rarely goes on the glass even at night.

I agree that I think the first is Panaqolus albomaculatus, looking at the mouth of the second one I would say it is a Hypancistrus so could be H. contradens

I agree with the first but unsure of the other

Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!

The second one is a hypan, based on picture of its mouth. Perhaps a contradens to be more specific. The second could possibly be a panaque. A picture of its mouth would be very helpful.

This fish has been posted before: http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... 13&t=36733

It is not H. Contradens, bodyshape and headshape does not compare with
I think it could be L136c

This might be a different one, considering the picture of the mouth is distinct from the one previously posted. This one has a small narrow mouth opposed to the big wide mouth of the other.

I don't agree. I think it matches contradens much more than it does L136c, but just my opinion. And I think the fish in the other post is different to his one.

Please, just look closer... Take a spot and see the fish on the two posts again. It is the same fish.
Don't only look at the cat-e-log pictures of L136c but take a more open view and see the internet for more on this species.
I'm sticking by it's not H. Contradens.

That is the same fish from my previous post. Is it possibly a L102? The shot in the catalog are hard to tell, but looks a like
