My Paroon shark isn't eating as much as he used to

Post by Wackaweed817 »

My Paroon shark used to eat all the time. Minnows, goldfish, worms, glass shrimp, sometimes I would buy him one of those little South American frogs for him to eat. Lately all he wants are minnows and he doesn't eat that much of them. He used to go through about 50 in 2 days, now he takes a week to eat 20. Should I be worried about this?

If it's still eating, I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe it's outgrown the prey and you need to think about getting bigger fish as food (or weaning it off live food).

Thanks for your help. I switched him over to bigger food and he hated it. When he does eat it is mostly minnows and sometimes those frogs. I think that he may be eating some of the Tetramin chips that I put in there for the irridesent shark. Also the other day I saw him eating one of the algae chips that I put in there for my plecos. Again thanks for your help. :D
