Hi all, I'm absolutely stumped as to what to do with my new 240l set up. I've bought a pair of peckoltia sp red tiger for it but other than them I can only think of a big a group of cardinals that would add some day time colour without disturbing my cats. Does anyone have a bit of inspiration for me please? Thanks in advance.
Cheers Matt.

There are loads of tetras - Red/Black Phantom, Columbian, Rummynose, Emperor etc that would look stunning in a large group but not interfere with the cats. You could also add a trio of dwarf cichlids - I have a couple of checkerboards that are totally peaceful and no trouble at all with my cats, and I have a shoal of rummynose and another of purple emperor tetras (prefer the 'normal' emperors though) and they all swim together or apart, depending on their mood.
I've also got a pair of angels that have twice laid eggs but are no trouble to the other fish.

Thanks Martin, yeah there are a lot of tetra possibilities, I suppose I was looking to put in something I've not kept before and a little more unusual. I love the idea of checkerboard cichlids, something I definitely wouldn't of thought of, thanks for the idea!

Thanks Richard, I must admit the thought of observing a big shoal of hastatus and the tetra they mimic would be fantastic! I visited my local MA recently but don't recall seeing any hastatus. I think I'm gonna try get hold of some though. Thanks for your input.
