Plecos are the true centerpieces of any aquarium. Everything else just swims around them!!

Actually, to answer my own question, NO. Upon further research I now believe this to be an L-38.
Plecos are the true centerpieces of any aquarium. Everything else just swims around them!!

What changed my mind was the pictures in th Cat-eLog for the L-169 show a fairly exaggerated lyre tail. His tail is more like what is pictured under the L-038.

A pic of the tooth would confirm the genus...

I have never ever seen him on the glass. He eats like a pig. Seems to prefer zuccini and algae discs. Won't touch shrimp pellets.

Mybe you can try to catch him and take a belly shot while in your hand or you can also described the tooth shape, size and number?!

Does this help any? I saw him (or her?) on the back glass with the reflection of the mouth in the glass. I ran as fast as I could to get the camera!
I really don't want to catch him/her unless I have to and positive ID right now isn't a have to. I got this one strictly because he/she was so cool looking.
