Help Me

Post by oblio »

Uh.. how should i say this?
Some friends left the country and left me their aquarium - there are 2 fish in it - one that you can hardly see and a... "classic" one. don't know any name so... excuse my ignorance.
They also left me the food for the fish and said - don't give them too much. :?
For severall months i have been feeding them but one (the hidden one) just never eat.
I thought that he eats only dirt and such since he is stuck with his big mouth under a rock.
Last week i've found another small box with food on which was written - "catfish"
I've put some there and the hidden one seemed to eat it. So i thought.. boy i'm stupid.. this guy was SO hungry.
It is a catfish and i hardly know anything about him - i want to make it up - so please tell me what kind of fish he is and how should i treat him best.
Thank you so much.
I'm sorry for the bad pictures but he is SO hidden - these are my best shots on the week - i couth him out under a big shell. If not enough..i'll hunt him some more.

Looks like a common bristlenose. More information is available here.

HI!

I agree with Rusty look like a rather common species...
Still any chance to make a pic when out of the cave?
Cheers

Thank you so much.
I'll try to get his pic in full lght. I'll get him somehow.
The info was very cool - thank you.
However - i couldn't find detaild info on how to feed him. I know what he likes now but it doesn't say how often should i give him food.
Once a day? Once a month? Severall times/day?
I only have his pills and i think it's best not to give him a full pill.
As i said he doesn't come out to eat and he's been without food (that pill i found) for about 2 months - poor boy.

P.S. - and what if he's common - here no one has seen such a special fish - i feel like drawing his portrait :D

Can you get hold of Algae wafers for him to feed on?
