3rd July 2013 :: IUCN Red List Status added

We've introduced a new field on the species data sheet that shows the IUCN Red List Status for any evaluated species. This enhancement (the work for which was carried out 100% by MatsP) addresses the request, in several places, to have this data on the site.

This data will be refreshed periodically to keep up with changes over time of this key indicator.

Thanks Rupert, the data is pretty poor, but it will hopefully improve over time. The data we have tells that that outside of

Pangasius

, near endangered, endangered or worse catfish species are not really exploited by aquarists.

The page has been updated to allow showing only species on a particular IUCN status.

The same page is now available on AquaticRepublic ( here ) and will get the new status selection feature added overnight.
