Hi!

Yes I agree with Ian, they are also known as Corydoras sp "Baianinha II" and they can grow up to 9cm/4in

Cheers

Hello Yann

I thought this fish was called baianinho III.
They look a little different from the baianinho II I have.

Someone knows if this this shinny green coloration disappears after a while in aquarium with this particulat fish ?

Cheers

Charly,

That is correct, baianinho II (C113) is very similar to C. kronei and baianinho III (C112) is nearer to C. lacerdai.

Hi!

Well according to what was published in DATZ 10/2003:
C112: Comes from the region of Sao Paulo, has the trade name of Corydoras sp "Baianinha II". they grow up to 9cm. Should not be kept over 24°C

Early this year was imported form the Bahia region by Aquarium Glaser another fish of the Corydoras sp "Baianinha" group, also know as "Goldrückenpanzerwelse" ( Goldenback Cory). They have a higher body than very similar Corydoras lacerdai, they grow up to 7cm. Best kept at 26-27°C

Cheers

Is this the same species as http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/ca ... 1088_f.php ? and if so, should I be calling it C112 or C113?

Seems odd that II = C113 and III = C112? Are you sure it's that way around?

Hey guys,

Hands up time  C112 is 'Baianinho II and C113 is 'Baianinho III. The picture captions in Datz were the wrong way round, but aparently the acompaning text explained about the two species, but that is in German and I don't speak the language so I never picked up on the mistake.
