Baryancistrus sp. L85 looks like L-177!

wzup, 1 week ago or something, i bought L-177... and When I look picture here, then it was right.. but then I watch this pics http://www.zoopet.com/akvarium/fisk.asp?NR=317 and its saids, L85..

Is my fish L-177 or L-085
I have many fish!

can you post a picture of your fish, the one shown in the link is a L177.

Hi,
BTW, it´s not for sure, that the two numbers are different species. L 18, L 81, L 85 and L 177, ...
Youth and adult coloration (L 18 and L 81/85 are for sure the same species), or only different types of coloration maybe.

I do indeed, but some readers may not.

I was re-iterating the point (that should be made more often) that an l-number is not an indication of a seperate species and that until these l-number is formally described or "re-discovered" then it remains to be seen what is a new species and what is not.
