I've looked at this and I managed to open and save (without change) the synonyms for this species. So, to figure out what's going wrong, I think I need to know exactly what you're typing in before you click submit/save.

Cheers,

@Jools .. I have made changes to Dinotopterus foveolatus taking it back to ...Bathyclarias are endemic to Lake Malawi and Dinotopterus are all from Lake Tanganyika...in Ferraris(2007) it was basically a mistake that it got taken to Dinotopterus. Just putting this here so you understand why the change. When you read this go ahead and send to resolved if you like.

we also have photo 5 to deal with as it is probably a clariid with injuries that have fungused as opposed to the pock-marks on the B. foveolatus.

I think we have to nuke the 5th image as we can't say what it is if it's not old crater face.

It is a sort of interesting shot with the fungus patches...but I agree..maybe a person sees the drop to the lower adipose fin in ngamensis, it also has what could be the low head of Clarias gariepinus...I think its just a guess without a side shot.Clarias can be difficult at the best of times.

I moved the photo in question to there are three species in Lake Malawi and this species makes the most sense for now.Did not want to nuke it because it is a interesting photo.
