Pseudolithoxus sp. L385 photo and source?
Hi,
A bit of confusion here. In a recent Cat-eLog update, the photo of Pseudolithoxus sp. L385 (showing three views of the fish) lists the following as the source:
"Reproduced from Collins, Rupert, et al. (2015) A preliminary inventory of the catfishes of the lower Rio Nhamunda, Brazil (Ostariophysi, Siluriformes). Biodiversity Data Journal 3: e4162.".
I have looked again at the referenced paper and do not see this photo. I only see a photo showing a single individual which notes that it shows the live coloration of a juvenile specimen. This photo is also in the Cat-eLog.
This is not a big deal but I am just checking it out.

True. I suspect Rupert (Racoll) may have forgotten that this picture didn't make it into his paper when he was adding it. However, as I've done with other three view composite images from other sources, I split it up into three images and Eric (bekateen) added them replacing the composite image in the process.
So, I think that about fixes everything up?
Cheers,
Jools

Sounds good to me Jools. I just wanted to check out the contradiction.
They are quite beautiful photographs!

Re: Pseudolithoxus sp. L385 photo and source?
My bad. Sorry for the confusion.
I was adding lots of pictures at once and I was on autopilot copy-pasting text into the submission boxes (a bulk upload script would be super handy!).
I think there may be a couple of others like this. I could not work out how to change it once I had been uploaded, and I could not even see how to delete the image and start again. Although thinking about it now, I realise I could have uploaded the same image into the same slot and overwritten the previous data. It was late ... !

No problem Racoll. As noted, just wanted to be sure of what was going on.
I loved the paper of yours (et al.). A very nice work...visually and textual. Did notice of it go into the Taxonomy and Science section on the site? I don't recall seeing it there...could have missed it though.

Haha, no. I think it missed HH's eagle eyes. The journal is new and online only, so it will take some time before people start discovering it.lfinley58 wrote:Did notice of it go into the Taxonomy and Science section on the site?

Hi Racoll and all.
The paper, with an open access link, is now in the Taxonomy and Science forum. Again, a great paper and one that provided many super photos to the Cat-eLog.
