Just for Fun

Post by LuvFish »

Hey all,
Should have made my user name " clueless" :- :-O I love Cory Catfish! They are so much fun to watch as they skitter around busy, busy, busy. I am aquarium sitting for my daughter and I was so jealous of her Cory that I purchased a Panda Cory who is so cute. Because my daughter's Cory is so active, I expected my Panda to be the same but every time I saw him I thought he was deceased because he was lazing on the bottom. I swore to my husband that he had his eyes closed and I have to give my husband credit, he kept a straight face when he told me that he didn't think fish could close their eyes. Not sure whether the joke is on me or him. My daughter's Cory does rest so cutely on the plastic plant leaves but for the most part stays busy. I called the pet store and told them about my fear that the guy was sick and/or dying. Of course, they informed me that not all Cory's are active. He must have heard me and feared for his life because he became busy, busy, busy. :))

Corys really do best when kept in groups. In the wild you can see them in large shoals. If your tank can hold more safely, I would suggest upping the number.

Have a look at this short vid of them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWIVCdLOImw
