L122 Spotted Orange Seam Pleco Info.

Post by RaYne »

My lfs has a L122. I positively ID'd it from the ecatelog. But I don't want to make an impulse purchase. Could anyone give me any info on these pleco's... Mainly diet and max size.. Do they require driftwood? Territorial? Actually any info would be great.

Thanks,
Linda

If someone would take the time to collate that into a data submission (or persuade Shane to ) and I'll add my 2p and post the info against the cat-elog entry.

I'll submit something soonest Jools. As well as something on L 127 (adding Erwin's info). I should have known Aqualog was all messed up since L Numbers are assigned by shipment. L 122 through L 129 were all asigned to a Venezuelan shipment. This means that it is illogical that Aqualog decided to publish that L 125 was from the Rio Para, Brazil and L 127 from the Rio Lara, Brazil since L 122 through L 129 all came in togther. I believe that this is also the root of the L 106/L 122 confusion since somebody was just looking for a "similar" Venezuelan fish to picture.

Ah.. thank you. That link was exactly the info I was looking for. Stupid me, I didn't think to search the forum before I posted.

I'm going to pick it up tomorrow.. going into my 10g q-tank then to my 100g (once it's gets here).

Thanks again. :)

Ok I got him.... Now this is a L122/L106 correct?

This is the best pic I could get seeing as my camera doesn't take close ups too well.
