Brahmaputra biotope...

Post by Catsu »

Heya,

I've got a channa bleheri (dwarf snakehead) that would apparently originate from Assam, specifically the Brahmaputra river basin. I'm really trying to create a biotope aquarium for him and would appreciate any suggestions for tank mates.

Ultimately I'm looking for something that would like algae and not get eaten, such as L128/200 size but from Assam... I noticed gagata cenia but didn't want anything that was too difficult. The snakehead is pretty sturdy.
Cheers

The only suitable algae eaters I can think of if you want to stay in biotope are Garra. They would not be exactly syntopic, though.
