Zebra otos - long term success

Post by Axelrodi202 »

Has anyone kept Otocinclus cocama long term? Seems like most people I know can't keep them past a few months. Some years ago, in my early planted tank days, I had a few that were doing well for some weeks until I lost them to a CO2 accident. X_X

I would like to know more about these cats as well, not a whole lot of info out there
I can stop keeping catfish whenever I want. I just don't think I'll ever want to do that...

They are just soo expensive, considering many of the imported otos will die early by stress, starvation or injuries. That makes it a bad gamble, especially, since some don't even look nice enough to be worth the price at all.

If you want a group of 10 you will probably have to buy 20, with costs of more than 10€ per fish, well... not many are willing to take that risk.
