Post by Mustang87 »

Hi guys.. I have a problem.. in my tank there are 6 Sturisoma Panamense ( 1 Female , 3 Male and 2 young born 8 months ago )

Today I noticed that one of the males has lost all his "whiskers/barbels" , he eats and swims without problems.. but it's normal?? I have them from 2 years

Tnx all

Yes, the odontodes are seasonal. They will come back. Normally, in the wild, males only have them in the breeding season.
