bristlenose pleco spawn help

Post by Nailroth »

Hi, my bristlenose plecos spawned a few days ago and i need some advice. I bought myself a small plastic box and just moved the spawn tube and the male over but he was moved before the tube as he was watching the eggs from outside the tube under a stone i used to hide the entrence to make the tank look better then to have a PVC pipe sticking out from under the sand. Will he go back to the eggs or am i better of moving him back and hope the eggs hatch without?

I put the filter outflow to blow some water into the tube for some water movement over the eggs. I have read about keeping air stones and such near eggs but as the tube is so big that is not a possibility and i can't get the eggs out of the tube without high risk of damage to them.

The male is young, around a year old.
