Driftwood with caves for Plecos?

Post by squid »

Just bought a big driftwood for my pleco tank.
is there a possibility of pleco getting stuck inside caves?

my plecos are L600, L160, L24, L048, L273, L114.

here's the big drifwood.

Usually pelcos live in caves and crevices just like that in their natural habitat. I do not see any problems with this wood. Your plecos will like it for sure.

I've never had a fish get stuck in any piece of driftwood except a dead one. Plecos are really good at hanging on to driftwood when you try getting them out. But they know to pull their pectoral fins back in and they know how to back out of things - unlike many other animals (seriously, dogs do not come with the ability to literally back-up out of an area).
