Corydoras fowleri?

Post by richb »

Hi All,

I got these as Corydoras fowleri but think they may be something else. These are pictures I took at the fish store.

Thanks for any help.

Best,

Rich

Hi Rich,

Nope, not . Maybe , since they are reportedly found together sometimes.

How many did you buy? Word of caution: The long nose (lineage 1) corys are pretty aggressive with conspecifics. Be mindful of mystery deaths or injuries and be prepared to spread them around tanks in smaller groups rather than big schools if needed; otherwise, a group in a big tank will need hiding places and some leaves for males to control as home.

How soon will we see fry in the SAS auctions? ;-)

Cheers, Eric

Thanks Eric,

They are interesting even if misidentified. It looks like aggression will be a problem. Not one I would have guessed.

Thanks again.

Best,

Rich
