What are these
These color morph cats are being sold in japan, was wondering what they are since they use japanese names to label that don't translate into anything. I also found these color morph trachys online and was wondering what species they are.

Re: What are these
The first is a cetopsis species, a true freshwater micro-shark.
The second looks like one the obscure / hard to ID so-called jumper catfish.

The trachy woodcats are hard to ID for me in general and with this photo in particular. I'd think a clean full side shot could help but I understand it is but a random photo.

Can you post a link to the Bagrichthys hypselopterus source site? Seeing this fish alive is quite something let along a weird one.

Re: What are these
Thanks to Silurus for the correct ID on the Rita. I was clearly wrong.
The one he didn't touch is a hybrid of lima shovelnose and RTC. (An abomination IMHO but this is besides the point.)

Looks to me like
-- B.juruense,
-- a smaller Doradid, could be from the Hassar or Doras genus but reminds me also of the O. niger posted by Vincent Wu on MFK (EDIT: which of course this fish is not based on the adipose fin.)
-- same black lancer catfish as you posted above but this one is xanthic, not leucistic / platinum.

The video confirms the juruense ID to my eye. The fish even appears to bear the faintest stripes as would be found on a juruense.

Will, if they not in this list then we don't have them in the database. However, I'd need copyright info / permission if they're to be added.

I could post them and tell you where I got the pics from and maybe a few of them you could ask to use the image? Problem is a good amount of them are from people who re post who don't say where the original image is from. I still have a fair few I could post and could tell you the owner though.
