Age of Pleco

Post by Ashlyn »

In June or July I rescued a Pleco from a friend of mine (they took down their tank and had him (or her) in a goldfish bowl for about a month). Anyway, I've done some research and I believe he is a Liposarcus pardalis. He's about six or seven inches long, and I was wondering about what age he could be. They said they had him for quite a while, but couldn't say how long.

Hi!

Well you could expect around 20 years of lifespan, of course if everything goes right.
Correct feeding, housing, keeping...
Cheers
