HTTP ERROR 500 when visiting PCF

Hi Jools,

For the last week or so, I've been getting this error when going to PlanetCatfish.com: HTTP Error 500.

I understand that is a very generic error, but I've never encountered it with this website on such a repeated basis. Now I'm getting it 5-10 times per day when going to the PlanetCatfish.com URL. Not getting it at any other website I visit (FB, YouTube, Amazon.com, etc).

Not sure there's anything to do about it (maybe it's a server error beyond your control), but I thought you'd like to be informed.

Hi Eric, it's not just you, I've had the same issue from pc mainly but also from my phone occasionally.

I hit refresh then it seems to load up OK on the second attempt.

Normally I'd say "looks fine to me", but that specific page has the most code behind it becuase it randomly shows lists of updates (my fish, catelog, my aquaria, donations and so on). I think there are about seven different permutations.

I suspect the issue will be one of those seven is broken. Will have a look at it when I can. For the record, my cats, donations, spotters, my aquaria are all OK.

Thanks. My thought was the same. I tried refreshing repeatedly to see if any section was missing from the rotation.

For me, the pages successfully loaded with all of the following:

• CLOG Species updates
• CLOG Image updates
• Breeder Board
• BLOG updates
• My Cats updates
• My Aquaria updates
• Latest Donations updates
• Spotter updates

Jools, I recommend checking the Wish List updates.

I just tried uploading a large image to the forum (6mb), and also get an HTTP 500 error.

If you remember a while back I started a thread about this happening from my phone, now it seems to happen from PC too, maybe there could be some relation between these two issues?

I've been getting this error too in the day time. Seems to load fine in the evening (my times).

I think I've nailed this one, was using the words wishlist when I should have been using wishes. Also, meanwhile, found an ages old bug which would not allow the user profile settings to show or hide the wishlist and spotter updates on the main page. This is now also fixed.
