Pleco biotope tank

Post by Warmouth233 »

I’m interested in doing a 125g pleco biotope aquarium for species that come from high flow rivers like the gold nugget plecos. Currently I have been experimenting with a 75g and 2 rio 2500 pumps at one in and a 900gph in the sump. I’ve used flagstone and slate to create caves and current breaks. It’s a sand and gravel bottom because I converted it directly from a planted tank to the high flow without breaking it down. Currently I have 10 species of juvenile plecos in it and 7 different species of corydoras catfish. The corys started breeding weekly after adding the power heads. Long story short I’d like to see any other tanks that have been set up with high flow rates to imitate a river biotope
