hi there,
I am currently working at tropicalfish.co.uk
We specialise in cats and plecs.
At present we have 2 large (25-35cm) L025 scarlets in stock.
We do ship via courier which is a next day before noon service
You can check out our website, but this needs some serious updating.
Let me know if I can help any further
Cheers

Hey Thomas W,
Tell me more about your tank that houses a Scarlet; size, filtration, substrate, deco etc. Pics would be an absolute God-send.
Also what your experiance can you tell me to do, ie Do's and Dont's.
What I was planning on was getting a couple of them with some driftwood. But this seems a bit sparse. Was wondering how can you house reclusive fish so you can see them.
Thanks
Ron

Well as you know this loricariidae can grow big and can be very aggressive to other pseudacanthicus. I have heard that L-025 and L-160 (Pseudacanthicus spinosus) Is the most aggressive loricariidae's you can get. So i hope you dont have to many of them in a small aquarium.
This loricariidae is also very hard to keep, beside of other loricariidae's. You have to have a temperature between 25-27 celsius, I prefer 26. The pH shall be between 6.0 and 7,0. I keept mine in 6.5.
And before you buy some of this fish i will give you a advice. Lock at their eyes. If the eyes is sunken into the head you better not buy it. This tells that the fish won't eat, and thats a very bad sign. Also check under theri stomach. They must have a big stomach and not a flat one. This also shows you that the fish hasent eaten for a long time.
Sorry that im not so well speaking english
Best regards: Thomas Wiborg.
