Local store had tank labeled “rubber nose Plecos”. Most I thought were C. formosae photo on blue gravel. Four looked different. Looking for confirmation id as C. dorsale.

is a common occurence with . I had a similar experience here: Mystery Chaetostoma, impulse buy at PetSmart. Beautiful little rubber lip. I've found them hard to keep healthy, but other people have lots of luck.
