Re: L204 white growth on back
Looks like fungus to me, but I suck at diagnosing diseases. I'd consider moving the fish to a QT tank, raise temp to 85F-86F, add an extra airstone to ensure dissolved oxygen doesn't drop, and do larger water changes (70%-80%) weekly. Consider using salt in the tank. Maybe apply methylene blue with a qtip to the spots.
Good luck, Eric

Thanks so much. I don't want him to infect the others.
For the rest of the tank should I start dosing salt or something else for preventative measures. Should I raise the water temperature to 85 in case fungus is present?

For the rest of the tank, I wouldn't treat with meds if no one else is obviously sick. However, I'd do a big water change and vacuum the substrate.
Cheers, Eric

Re: L204 white growth on back
I have cured this before, but it is not fun. You will need meth blue and a QTip. Soak one end of the QTip with meth blue. Capture the fish and dab each infected area directly with meth blue. Direct treatment in this manner is far more effective than medicating the tank itself.
Provided the hospital tank is kept clean, the white spots (which will now be blue) will disappear. If the fish does not show significant recovery after a week you will need to repeat the process.
Good luck.
