What type of pleco do I have

What type of pleco do I have

I purchased this being told it’s a rubber lip, pretty sure it’s a common and I can expect him/her to grow into a massive fish, can anybody possibly help me identify the exact species

Fairly sure that's this species of "common" but yes is not a rubberlip
Corydoras, Hoplosternum, Farlowella, Pleco

Hi BobbYhill,

Welcome to Planetcatfish!

As MissNoodle said, your fish is
Pterygoplichthys pardalis
, not any rubberlip. If you asked for a rubberlip and the store netted this out instead (assuming they had rubberlips too), I'd suggest you return this fish and ask for an exchange.

Just my thoughts, anyway, because this will get big and if you can't house it, then the store sold you something you shouldn't have gotten.
