Mis-displayed Synodontis at the Louvre

Post by bekateen »

Hi All,

Today we had the pleasure of visiting the Louvre in Paris. Among the Egyptian displays are sculptures of fish. There were four and one . Unfortunately, the numeric label for the Synodontis was reversed with the label of a neighboring Tilapia fish. I couldn't find any employees to tell, so I wonder how long it will remain uncorrected.

Cheers, Eric

Nice!

Did you find the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic menu with a syno on it too? I was there last year and that section was closed...

I'll have to go back and look at my photos. I may have missed it.

Based on the appearance of your 5th photo (multiple artifacts) they just seemed to not assign #10 next to the Syno label.
