Error message updating synonyms in CLOG

Hi Jools,

Today I tried to add

Centromochlus orca

as a synonym for

Tatia orca

.

I typed Centromochlus for genus and orca for specific epithet. I wrote "Sarmento-Soares, Lazzarotto, Rapp Py-Daniel & Leitão" (with the non-English type character) for "Described by". I entered Yes for original genus. and I entered 2017 for year.

When I pressed submit, I received this error message:

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Data too long for column 'author' at row 1 [1406]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

I received a different error message today when updating a synonym for

Brochis(sc3) bifasciata

Hi Jools,

I got another different error message today when updating a synonym.

To be clear, the synonym updated successfully, so this didn't prevent the update.
