Yellow Spotted Plec Hmmmm

hi all could you have a look at this plec. a freind brought him and was told it was a yellow spotted plec, but im not convinced that is the proper name any help much appreciated 8)

:D Picture although dark almost exactly matches L055 Peckoltia in old aqualog. Right down to the stripe by the eye!! :D

The fish has 13 dorsal fin-rays, not 7, so it's impossible it's a Peckoltia.

:D Not looking to argue but if you look at the picture I referred to it has around 13 rays? How many are peckoltias supposed to have? :D

From the Cat-eLog entry for L055:

"Aqualog shows a juvenile Glyptoperichthys gibbiceps." (the old Aqualog, not the new one).

Peckoltia, like almost all other loricariids, have only 7-8 dorsal-fin rays.

:D :D :D So that expains it the picture I have is Glyptoperichthys mislabeled as a Peckoltia! :D Looks an awful like his picture fight down to location of spots and eye strips. Thanks.Silurus. :D :D
