Hi,

This nice pleco swim's in my fishtank, but I do not know if it is Pleckoltia sp. or something else ?
L- ? and what else I can tell.... it is about 8 cm long.

Hi!

Yes it is certainly a Peckoltia, still a mouth shot showing the dentition would leave any rest of doubt...
Could you make another shot showing the body pattern of your fish a bit better

Very similar to L-140 in the new aqualog but in the old one that is P.brevis...just a guess.

I asked about his ID on another catfish-board, and they told me it's basically a guessing game as long as you don't know where in the wild it (or its parents, in case of F1) was collected.
Mine is most likely an L015 or L049, but I won't ever know for sure, I guess.
